# Shufl Terms of Service

Welcome to **Shufl**, a trusted-circle mobility app designed for families and friends to coordinate safe, private rides.
By accessing or using Shufl (“the Service”), you agree to the following Terms of Service.

## 1. Overview
Shufl connects users within their **own verified contact circles** to coordinate and reimburse family rides.
Shufl is **not a public rideshare service** or Transportation Network Company (TNC).
All rides occur voluntarily between users who know and consent to one another.

## 2. Eligibility
- You must be **18 years or older** to create an adult account.
- Users under 18 may only participate under a verified parent or guardian profile.
- All users must pass identity verification through **Shufti Pro** or an equivalent KYC service.

## 3. Nature of the Service
- Shufl provides tools for **coordination, location sharing, and reimbursement** within your contacts.
- Shufl **does not dispatch drivers, assign rides, or employ drivers.**
- Payments for rides are **peer-to-peer** reimbursements based on IRS mileage rates.
- Shufl may charge a **monthly or annual membership fee** for access to premium features.

## 4. Driver and Rider Responsibility
- All drivers must hold a valid driver’s license, active vehicle registration, and insurance.
- Riders and drivers assume full responsibility for their conduct, safety, and compliance with local laws.
- Shufl is **not responsible for vehicle operation, incidents, or disputes** between users.

## 5. Trust+ Verification (Optional)
Shufl offers an optional **Trust+ Verification** badge through a third-party background screening provider (e.g., Truora or Checkr Lite).
This screening is voluntary and not required to use the app.
Shufl does not evaluate, approve, or guarantee any screening outcomes.

## 6. Privacy & Data
Your privacy is critical to us.
- Shufl will never sell user data.
- Location data is shared **only** within your approved circle and for the duration of an active ride.

## 7. Communication & Notifications
By using Shufl, you agree to receive service-related communications via:
- Push notifications
- In-app messages
- SMS (see “Text Opt-In Agreement” below)

- Shufl is not liable for accidents, injuries, or damages occurring during rides.
- The app is provided **“as-is”** without warranties of fitness for a particular purpose.
- Users are responsible for ensuring safe operation and compliance with traffic and insurance laws.

Membership fees, if applicable, will be displayed clearly before purchase.
All payments are processed securely through **Stripe**.
Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled prior to the renewal date.
