How You Receive Messages

Emergency Contact Alerts

If a KidRide user adds your phone number as an

emergency contact in their Safety Settings, you will

receive:

- Emergency location alerts when the user activates

their panic button

- Real-time GPS coordinates and address

- Google Maps link to their location

Consent: By being added as an emergency contact, the

KidRide user confirms they have your permission to

receive emergency alerts on your behalf.

Opt-Out: Ask the KidRide user to remove your number

from their emergency contacts in app Settings →

Ride Status Notifications

If you create a KidRide family account and link to a

rider, you will receive:

- Ride matching notifications

- Driver arrival alerts

- Ride start and completion confirmations

Consent: By creating an account and linking to a

rider, you explicitly consent to receive ride

notifications.

Opt-Out: Disable notifications in your app settings

at any time, or reply STOP to any message.

Message Frequency

- Emergency alerts: Only when panic button is

activated (rare)

- Ride notifications: Varies based on ride activity
